Enjoying a tranquil elevated position with delightful Middle Harbour views, this free standing two story brick house was in need of a contemporary refresh.
Our approach was simple yet redefining for the client in terms of how they used the space around them. The brief straightforward, to enhance and modernise the front facade and allow for better off street parking. With a further touch of design thinking, we were able to introduce some minor internal modifications, bringing a new lease of life to the house.
The major new design element introduced was relocating the main entry to the ground floor, creating a new more fluid access to the house from street level. The upper level entry was then transformed to an expanded outdoor area introducing expansive Middle Harbour views. The family living space was further increased by converting the roof space into a children’s entertainment area. The outdoor area was re-invigorated by an extensive landscape design, together with a contemporary new carport.
Now, this house is a complete family package!
